Wet Scrubber

This scrubbing system brings together virtually all the features you should insist upon for your application

1. Simple, easily adjustable throat permits setting the pressure for maximum efficiency. Can be fine-tuned to an application while the scrubber is running. Throat damper blades are readily replaceable.
2. Variable-spin damper in separator maintains proper velocity for collection of fine droplets.
3. Flooded elbow provides a wetted surface for the collection of large agglomerated liquid droplets. Also serves as a barrier to eliminate equipment wear. Drains directly into separator sump.
4. Removable scrubbing liquid piping - no nozzles to wear or plug.
5. Access door permits inspection of the flooded elbow and spins damper.
6. Simple open design has a low potential for build-up and pluggage.
7. The Venturi offers the most efficient design for putting pressure drops to work. This, combined with the unit’s energy regain section, significantly reduces power consumption and operating costs.
8. The Vibro Machine does the accurate screening of ash & water. Hence water is recycled back to the scrubber. So Water wastage is nil and as water is collected in Pit. Zero Discharge is maintained.
9. Ash falls directly to your trolley or truck. Saves labour & manpower.

1. Before closing in off seasons or during a cleaning run clean water through the water pump & slurry pump so no blockages in pipelines or water channels.
2. During cleaning or off-season check the water channel of the scrubber & venturi and clean if any deposition of ash is there.
3. If possible inside painting for venturi, scrubber, and seal tank preferably with black Japan.
4. Perform regular maintenance & checkup at required intervals of pumps & motors, and valves so there is no blockage & smooth operation is maintained during a plant in operation.
5. Screen opening: When the screen is choked, you have to spray hot water with the pressure of 3/4 kgs from the top for washing the screen of the machine. If required you can add caustic soda or hydrochloric acid for the washing screening of the machine.
6. If the machine is stopped & kept ideal for some time, it is necessary to wash the screen & keep it ideal.
7. The motor should be inspected at regular intervals to guard against excessive dirt, moisture & friction, which amounts to the majority of failures. It must inspect the motor at least once in two weeks for the smooth operation of the motor.
8. Check to bear for wear & tear. Replace them if necessary.
9. Press new greases into their respective sealing of the motor.
10. Re-pack the top bearing with servogem-3 grease (Filling) cavities 1/2 to 2/3 full with servogem3 grease & press into the bottom bearing.
11. Check all nuts/bolts of the machine i.e. clamp bolts, foundation bolts, M/c body bolts, etc. If found loose, tightened them.
12. Greasing of bearing between intervals should be as follow
i. Top bearing - Two shots (approx. 3 gms) of grease from the handgun every 350 operating hrs.
ii. Bottom Bearing - One shot approx. 3gms of grease from the handgun every 350 operating hrs.
iii. The motor bearing is packed before leaving the factory with servogem3 grease. It is most important that no other grease to us, the especially inferior product which may greatly reduce the life of the motor bearing.
13. Check all nuts & bolts of the machine i.e. clamp & bolts, foundation bolts, M/c body bolts, etc. If found loose tightened them.
14. During Off Season the Ash Pit Chambers have to be cleaned and the wall should be checked for Leakages.

The Venturi Scrubber uses the differential between high-velocity gases and free-flowing water to create droplets that entrap contaminants, hold them in suspension and deliver them as highly concentrated slurry. The Venturi Scrubber offers more advantages in separating and recovering liquid mists and ultra-fine particulate than other gas cleaning methods. Simple in design, yet highly efficient, this Venturi Scrubber incorporates features calculated to maximize collection efficiency while minimizing operating and maintenance costs. They range from a non-plugging, trouble-free method of introducing scrubbing liquid and a simple, easily-adjusted throat for optimizing efficiency, to a flooded elbow arrangement that collects agglomerated particulate while providing an abrasion-resistant barrier to deter scrubber wear. Extremely important in these days of rising energy costs is an adjustable pressure drop provision and energy regain feature which combines to reduce power consumption and operating costs. The Venturi Scrubber serves the industry in several ways. It removes pollutants present in process gas streams. This includes removing hazardous and nuisance dust, fumes, and mists from stack gases. Cleaning process gas streams to remove oils, dust, and other particulates, this scrubber offers the industry an opportunity to recycle these gases as fuels or process raw materials. Finally, the Venturi Scrubber makes it possible to reclaim valuable materials which can result in significant process savings.

The incoming gas is accelerated to a high velocity at the scrubber’s throat where it comes into contact with the scrubbing liquid. The liquid is atomized into fine droplets which entrap the particulate with high collection efficiency. Downstream from the throat, the cleaned gas decelerates and the particulate-laden droplets collide and agglomerate. The large, heavy, agglomerated droplets are driven into the flooded elbow for easy disposal. Droplets too small for collection at the flooded elbow is collected in the separator to complete the cleaning operation. Pressure drop across the venturi throat is a measure of the energy needed to atomize the scrubbing liquid and to perform the cleaning operation. The higher the pressure drop, the higher the collection efficiency. The Venturi offers the most efficient design for putting pressure drops to work. This, combined with the unit’s energy regain section, significantly reduces power consumption and operating costs.

Our specially designed Vibro, after wet Scrubbers, is very effective in Ash Slurry Handling. As this machine can screen boiler ash from water continuously. The Size of the Machine Depends Upon the Size of the Boiler. The Operating Principle of the machine is very simple and hence the maintenance cost is very low. The Slurry falls on the Top of the screen of the required mesh, and due to the vibro effect, the slurry gets separated. Ash falls directly into the Trolley and water into the Ash pit. And with the simple technique of sedimentation and separation water is recycled back to the scrubber. Hence Zero Discharge is maintained.
